During the past weeks, a combi webinar with the topic "German Real Estate Law" was orangised by the BDÜ Weiterbildungs- und Fachverlagsgesellschaft mbH.
The topics includded an introduction to property law, right in rem as well as property liens.
The speaker, Christin Dallmann, explained the niceties of the different areas of law comprehensibly and in detail.

Introduced by the FIT (Fédération internationale des traducteurs) in 1991 and recognised by the UNO General Assembly in 2017: The International Translation Day. It is held on the holiday of St. Jerome, the patron of translators. He is known for translating the Bible in the 4th/5th century.
Every year, translators and interpreters celebrate with various activities and call attention to their work.

27th & 28th February 2020
Two days full of information on the topic: "Procedural Rights in the EU" in Lisbon. As a translator it was highly interesting to not only learn more about the different Directives and their
implementation in the EU member states, but also in particular to hear the point of view of judges and lawyers regarding the involvement of translators and interpreters.
A special highlight was the presentation of the project "CO-MINOR-IN/QUEST" of the KU Leuven on children in legal language situations.
11th - 13th October 2019
This weekend I'm in Leipzig with the BDÜ LV Nord at the BDÜ member meeting. This is not only a good occasion to keep up to date with what's going on in the BDÜ country-wide, but also to network with colleagues and get new information from the BDÜ Weiterbildungs- und Fachverlag GmbH.
