Two days full of information on the topic: "Procedural Rights in the EU" in Lisbon. As a translator it was highly interesting to not only learn more about the different Directives and their
implementation in the EU member states, but also in particular to hear the point of view of judges and lawyers regarding the involvement of translators and interpreters.
A special highlight was the presentation of the project "CO-MINOR-IN/QUEST" of the KU Leuven on children in legal language situations.
11th - 13th October 2019
This weekend I'm in Leipzig with the BDÜ LV Nord at the BDÜ member meeting. This is not only a good occasion to keep up to date with what's going on in the BDÜ country-wide, but also to network with colleagues and get new information from the BDÜ Weiterbildungs- und Fachverlag GmbH.
